Ian is a sensitive, thorough, knowledgeable, and playful supervisor. His determination to consistently go the extra mile in terms of emotional, practical, and administrative support contributed greatly to my learning and confidence as a therapist. 

One of the most helpful aspects of my supervision was Ian's integration of a diverse treasury of literature from psychodynamic and creative arts therapies. I was often signposted to relevant readings and techniques, which has thoroughly enhanced my therapeutic practice. 

Ian's integration of methods from creative therapies within the supervision also proved invaluable. He helped my co-therapist and I explore and strengthen our complicated relationship by having us draw our individual relationships with each other and the group we were running, and then analysing it in a supportive and constructive manner.
