Hello! My name is Ian, a London based music therapist. I have worked providing therapeutic support predominantly for children over the last ten years. I'm employed as an external therapist in several schools and also work in private practice. I've worked with children:

  • To nurture their resilience and self-esteem; 

  • Struggling with social, emotional and behavioural issues;

  • Who have undergone some sort of trauma, as a result of bereavement, abuse, or other circumstances;

  • To support those with a learning difficulties, such as autism spectrum,and global developmental delay.

I have delivered trainings and workshops to institutions on a variety of mental health related topics, including:

I've recently completed trainings in Guided Imagery and Music, and music and imagery therapy and have worked with adults to explore their life challenges, nurture their own resilience and positive resources, and process challenging or traumatic past experiences.

I've also taken additional training in resilience, bereavement, child protection, existential psychotherapy, and dramatherapy.

I have experience in working with adults, children, and adolescents individually and in small groups, within institutions as a visiting therapist and in private practice. I'm particularly experienced in:
