CREATIVE SUPERVISION WITH IAN GRUNDY
Clinical Supervision for Creative Arts Therapists, Counsellors, and Psychotherapists
ABOUT CREATIVE CLINICAL SUPERVISION
At root, supervision supports the therapist emotionally, and in matters of technique, perspective, and understanding. It assists therapists to work in an emotionally available and containing, ethical, and safe way with clients.
My approach to supervision is deliberately eclectic. However, it is underpinned by a psychoanalytically informed understanding of the therapeutic relationship and a belief that unconscious forces are revealed through client and supervisee and supervisor talk and behaviour. Fundamentally, this supervisory approach is based in creative practice and how embedding it within creative processes helps explore more fully and usually quicker, the issues at play.
